Margins: There are really no top, bottom, left or right margins since the illustrations go straight to the edges of the page. On pages that have text, the margins are not consistent from one page to the next. On average, there is a top margin of 1.25 inches, a left margin of about 2.25 in., a right margin of 1.5 in., and a bottom margin of about 1.5 in.
Text block: The amount of text varies between 1 line of text to 9 lines of text. Most pages have 3 or 4 lines of text, which equals to between 1 and 1.75 inches of text. Text is either above or below the illustrations. The text is readable in a Monotype Goudy Modern font. The size of the font is between .3 cm for lowercase letters and .5 cm for uppercase letters. |
Paper
The paper is thick and of good quality, but is slightly browning due to age.
Binding
The binding of the book is done in tan colored cloth and has the title of the book plus the author's last name and publisher on the spine. The front cover has an image of Sal sitting in the blueberry patch. Text and image is in blue ink like the inside text.
